the potter's mission
a unique ministry unlike any other!
What we do
I believe this method of ministry is the most unique way to present people with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Here's how it works; we handmake ceramic mugs, cups and other earthenware vessels to give away as free gifts to random people we meet along the way. We give them out randomly to people in parking lots, restaurants, parks, supermarkets and many other places. Inside each vessel we give out, we put a gospel tract called "The Story of The Two Potters". This gospel tract discusses an earthly potter, and a heavenly Potter who is our creator, the Lord God in Heaven. Most people who receive these free gifts are extremely excited and thankful, and very few have refused to accept the ceramic vessels. I mean, who doesn't enjoy a free gift? Well, the real exciting part comes when those folks get to read the Gospel track inside. They may not realize it at the time, but the most valuable gift that they are being given is not the actual mug or cup, It's the message of the gospel which is inside the cup. The real gift is the opportunity to receive everlasting life that is offered through Jesus Christ our Lord!
Now that you know about our ministry and what we're doing, perhaps you might consider helping us. The process of hand making ceramic mugs is not easy or free. It involves a lot of time and energy as well as costly materials. I will continue to self-support and present this ministry as long as the Lord allows. If by some chance, God puts it on your heart to support us through prayers or perhaps financially, we would be eternally grateful!
the story of the two potters
If by some chance you received a mug or cup and have misplaced the paper inside, Or if you're just curious and Would like to read the track for yourself, here is the story.
THE TWO POTTERSCongratulations, you are the new owner of a handmade earthenware vessel! The vessel you're holding in your hand is a gift. It was made by an earthly potter, in other words, it was made by a man. This earthly potter is not a master craftsman, but the vessels that he makes can be used for practical purposes. Although they may not be perfect, they still function well and serve a purpose. Please take the mug, bowl, or cup that you have received and hold it in your hands and study it carefully. You will notice that the vessel has some imperfections. Perhaps the handle is not evenly shaped, or the rim of the vessel is not perfectly round. You may notice the walls may not be even, or perhaps you will notice some cracks or uneven glazing. Take note that this is a completely unique vessel and there is no other exactly like it. Although it is not perfect, it has a purpose. You may decide to use it to hold pens or maybe your toothbrush, but how you decide to use it will be completely up to you. You may even decide to reject it and toss it out. It is your choice to make.
Now, let's discuss another Potter. He too makes clay vessels, and although he is a master craftsman, the vessels that he makes still have imperfections. The imperfections in the vessels that He makes are not there because of His lack of ability, but they are caused by the vessels themselves. However, the second potter can do something that the first potter cannot do - He can take a vessel that is not perfect and can change it so that it becomes completely perfect. At this point, you may be wondering why the second Potter can make a perfect vessel, but the first Potter cannot. Well, it will make more sense when I tell you that the second Potter is not a man, He is God, and that you, are one of the vessels He has created.
That's right-you were made by God, who is the Great Potter. The Bible tells us that God formed man from clay which He took from the ground, and that He breathed life into man, and man became a living soul. Think about it for a moment. You are simply a vessel, and you were made for a purpose. The Bible tells us that we were created to bring glory to God by living a perfect and holy life, but sadly, we are unable to do this because we are not perfect. You may be a nice person, but you are not perfect. The Bible says that all people have committed sins before God. When people break God’s rules and laws it is called sin. Everyone has told a lie, or stolen something, or has had bad thoughts, and that is sin. The sins that we commit are like the imperfections in the vessel you have been given. So why does this matter? It matters because there is a punishment for sin. When our life here on earth is over (when we die) we will be judged by God for our sins and there is a punishment for those who are found guilty of sin. The punishment is separation from God forever (remember, the Bible says ALL people have sinned). The Bible tells us that God is pure and holy and righteous, and He cannot allow anything or anyone that is unclean or sinful to be in his presence.
This is a problem for sinners like you and me because all sinners will have to depart from God and must go to a very bad place that was made for sinners and evil people. It is a place called Hell, where sinners will be punished for their sins forever. This is such terrible news, but do not worry because there is also good news! (See the other side).
The good news is that God loves you and me so much, that he allowed His only Son, whose name is Jesus, to be punished for your sins and for mine. Jesus paid the price for all the sins that have ever been committed in this world. If you want to be forgiven of your sins against God, you simply must trust and believe in Jeus and what He has done for you. So, what exactly did Jesus do to pay the price for your sins? His punishment was death. That's right, He died as a punishment for your sins so that you don't have to. What's even more amazing is that after He died and was buried in a grave, three days later God gave Him the power to rise from the dead and come back to life! Jesus conquered death for anyone who will believe in Him and trust in what He has done! Is it really that simple? The answer is yes! The only thing that will take your sin away so God will see you as perfect, is to believe on and trust in Jesus Christ's death, burial and resurrection. Yes, God has made a way for us to be perfect in His eyes. So, the only question now is, will you tell God that you are trusting in what Jesus has done so that you can be with Him in heaven one day? It’s as easy as ABC.A) ADMIT. Talk to God and admit to Him that you are a sinner. Tell God that you want to turn away from sin and turn towards Him to live a clean, holy life.B) BELIEVE. The Bible says that if we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and in His death, burial and resurrection, that we shall be saved from the punishment of sin.C) CONFESS. The Bible tells us that if we confess our sins to God, that He will be faithful to forgive us for our sins. As you can see, the ceramic vessel you received is not the true gift. The real gift is found in the Gospel, which is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. You are a vessel made by God for a purpose. Yes, you have imperfections (sins), but God can change that. You did not receive this gift accidentally; God had you specifically in mind. If you know that you need forgiveness for your sins, don't wait a minute more. Talk to God right now and tell him you want to turn to Him and accept Jesus Christ as your Savior. You too can be a perfect vessel in the eyes of God through the Lord Jesus Christ. Will you accept the gift of everlasting life, or will you refuse it? It is your choice to make. If you have decided to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we would love to know, so drop us a line and tell us your story!

I recived a mug, now what?
If you have received a mug or some other ceramic vessel and you've read the paper inside it, and you believe in your heart that what you've read is true, and you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and savior, then here is what you should do next.
1. Find and join a local Bible believing, Christian church. It is important to make sure the church you plan to attend has the proper doctrine, or beliefs. Check their statement of faith which can be found in the church itself or on their website and make sure they teach the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ as the literal truth. Make sure that they teach that salvation is a free gift of God secured by the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Once this has been established, attend, services and find out what classes and resources are available to you as a new believer and follower of Jesus.
2. Learn, grow, serve.
After finding a good solid church to be part of, it's now time to learn as much as you can so that you can grow in Christ as much as you can. A follower of Christ is called a disciple. A disciple is simply a student and Jesus is the Teacher. Get yourself a copy of the Holy Bible and read it often. If you cannot afford one, speak to your church family, as I'm sure they will be able to help you get one.
It's good to read the Bible, but it can be confusing, so it's best to attend any Bible classes being offered by your local church. Classes and discipleship programs within the church should be 100% free. So, if your church is not offering them for free, you may want to consider finding another church to attend. After all, the Church's purpose and ministry is to help people learn about and live for Jesus, as this should be offered free of charge.
The more you learn, the more you'll grow. The idea is not just to know what Jesus says, but to practice and do what he says. The goal is for us to transform our old sinful lives into ones that are full of light, and that glorify Jesus Christ. This of course includes loving and serving others, while behaving and living in a way that is acceptable in the eyes of God. You will never know what God has for you to do in this life until you seek His face and ask Him what you need to do. Who Knows? He may use you as a minister to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to others!
